Killby & Gayford was contracted to completely renovate six floors and add an additional level to an existing office building opposite Bond Street tube station.
The removal of redundant mechanical plant and erection of new steel work, required careful crainage from street level. Partial road closures had to be agreed with the local council. The project was carefully planned in order to ensure the safety of the public throughout the busy Christmas period. Other noisy and disruptive works had to be carried out during restricted hours due to occupied neighbouring properties and an operational HMV store at ground level.
