Killby & Gayford was appointed to carry out this first phase of a major redevelopment project to transform an un-utilised and unattractive area into a regenerated, open, mixed use environment.

The works included:

  • Demolition and underpinning
  • Complex structural alterations.
  • Extensions and renovations to existing buildings.
  • Facade retention.
  • Erection of new steel frame with metal deck slabs.
  • Complete fit out and re-decoration to all areas including the manufacture and installation of bespoke joinery products.
  • Roof works including tiling, roof lights and solar panels.

The works provided retail shell units at ground and  basement level with office space above at Slingsby Place and three basement apartments at 3-5 Mercer Street.
