Since its formation in 1860 Killby & Gayford has prided itself on high quality craftsmanship in both the construction and joinery divisions. The buildings we construct are built as a legacy and like the firm itself are built to last. We are proud of our heritage and look to ensure that buildings we build stand the test of time and any repair and conservation work reflects both the design philosophy and craftsmanship used in the original building. We have experience in working within many historic and ecclesiastical buildings, giving us an understanding of the specialist skills and knowledge required when renovating and restoring listed buildings, where a sympathy for the history, heritage and unique character of a building requires a fine balance with the requirements and regulations of modern day living. In addition we endeavour to maintain or enhance the sustainability of such buildings and encourage the introduction of modern methods of construction where they might enhance performance whilst in no way detracting from the original form and the collective aim to ensure that heritage buildings are restored and conserved for their historic value and for the enjoyment of future generations.
